Roberts Lake is more than water behind a dam. It’s a place of memory, wildlife, and quiet Northern Michigan tradition.
The lake is named after a local World War II veteran, a reminder that this place carries history, sacrifice, and community pride, not just shoreline and water levels.
Today, Roberts Lake faces being drained and permanently altered. That means the loss of loon habitat, fishing, peaceful recreation, and a lake generations have grown up on. Once it’s gone, it’s gone forever.
Many locals and lifelong users were never truly notified or heard before these plans moved forward. We believe decisions with permanent impact deserve transparency and community input.
We are the Concerned Citizens of Roberts Lake, working to protect this lake and what it represents for our families, our wildlife, and our shared history.
